Are there any fees involved? All members of Balletomane, including Apprentices, have to pay an annual membership fee of £10. This provides full access to our members-only website pages and a personal e-mail address at balletomane.co.uk. Rehearsals are charged as a regular class and cost £7.50 per rehearsal in order to help cover studio hire and company costs. All company members also pay this fee. |

What happens at the end of the Apprenticeship Program? If the Apprentice successfully completes their probationary period (of one season) they then become full company members and are cast in both corps and solo roles for the next season and thereafter. And we always have a graduation party to celebrate! |

What do our Apprentices Say? 'As an amateur dancer, Balletomane has given me the opportunity to learn dances from the famous ballets-something that is not possible to do in normal classes. It is challenging and fun and all of the company members are lovely' ~Apprentice 2009 'Balletomane is a great way to bring more purpose to the ballet class. All that barre work seems more worthwhile when there's the promise of pointe shoes and tutus at the end! It is also fun socially too. I found rehearsals turn a group of friendly people into a welcome team of dancers'. ~ Apprentice 2009 |
