Who can come to the workshop?

The workshop is open to all amateur adult dancers (aged 18+) of an Elementary level or above. The workshop is particularly relevant to those who may be interested in joining the company now or in the future. You must register before being able to attend, as spaces are very limited.
To register click here and leave your name, age, contact telephone and a brief description of your dancing level. We will then get back to you with the details and location of the workshop. Please note that we can NOT accept professional dancers.

What will you gain from the workshop?

Balletomane is an amateur adult ballet company made up of normal people who do ballet in their free time. We give charity performances on weekends to people who are elderly, disabled or suffering from illness. We also perform for children in London Libraries and disabled schools in order to bring the art of ballet to those who would otherwise be unable to visit the theatre.

We are always looking for new dancers to join our company and this workshop will give you a good idea whether or not Balletomane is for you. A staff meber will be more than happy to meet you after the day to discuss any questions you have about the company and the possibility of joining.

What sort of dancers are you looking for to join the company?

We look for enthusiastic dancers who are interested in making a difference in their society. Our performances are given for free to people who, for various reasons, are unable to venture out to see a ballet in the theatre. It is important that our dancers are passionate about helping others. In general, our female dancers are of an Advanced level (also on pointe) and our male dancers are of an Elementary+ level.

What will happen at the end of the workshop?

Following the workshop there will be the opportunity to speak to the Assistants to the Artistic Director and discuss the possibility of joining our company through the Apprenticeship Program.
